Gluteal Shelf Seat

Concave back cane supports create a 6.5” gluteal shelf on a 26” deep seat to support posterior tissue in the bariatric client. This space lets tissue flow under the seat back, enabling the user to rest more fully against the seat back to improve posture and positioning.

MAXUM Seating

Designed to make positioning modifications on PaceSaver scooter and power chair seats, MAXUM enables approximately 3.5" of fore/aft adjustments on back positioning. Consumers can be supported under the buttocks area and have the back cushion moved forward up to 3.5" for proper back support, or a standard 21" deep seat can be adjusted to fit like a shorter seat.

Bariatric Lower-Extremity Options

I saw these bariatric positioning options at Medtrade and immediately was impressed by the customization that can be achieved with them. This particular configuration (pictured) uses centralized anti-tips up front to stabilize the chair, in conjunction with individual footplates... but that’s just one of many possibilities.
