Open Sesame Site Offers Door Demo Video

While we’re all used to doors that automatically open at the grocery store (or the garage door that opens at the push of a button when we return), residential door-opening systems are much more rare. But such systems can mean the difference between entering and exiting a home independently, or having to rely on others for help. Open Sesame’s demonstration video shows a power wheelchair user opening his front door by touching a single button on a remote control, holding the door open and closing it. While the explanation of the system’s functions is great, even better is the obvious outcome: a man in a wheelchair who can come and go as he pleases.
