PDG's Fuze T50 Wheelchair Wins Design Award

PDG Product Design Group's Fuze T50 manual tilt-in-space wheelchair has been selected as a winner of the 2008 Medical Design Excellence Awards.

The annual awards program is sponsored by Medical Device & Diagnostic Industry, a publication for original equipment manufacturers of medical products.

The Fuze T50 was one of the honorees in the Rehabilitation & Assistive Technology category. PDG reports that the Fuze T50's tilt pivot point coincides with the user's center of gravity, thus creating a system that is easier for a caregiver or attendant to tilt, regardless of patient weight. The Fuze T50 offers up to 50 degrees of tilt and can accommodate aftermarket seating and positioning systems.

The Medical Design Excellence Awards will be presented June 4 in New York. The program recognizes medical design achievements in categories such as critical care/emergency medicine, over-the-counter/self-care, and in-vitro diagnostics. This year, 33 awards will be distributed.
