New Pediatric Web Site Offers Resources & Education

The Marianjoy Medical Library has launched a pediatric-themed educational Web site called Information Connections.

Nalini Mahajan, Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital's Medical Library director and Web master, said in a news announcement, "The Web site is a portal to a number of resources and accurate clinical information which focuses on autism, cerebral palsy, ADHD, Down syndrome and traumatic brain injury, among others."

While the site - InformationConnections.org - was envisioned as a way to help families who have children with disabilities, Mahajan said it "also may serve colleges and universities, public libraries and teaching hospitals as an accurate educational resource. We hope that many of these organizations will add the Web site to their list of credible resources."

The National Network of Libraries of Medicine, Greater Midwest Region, provided the grant that made it possible to create and manage the Web site.
