The 2025 annual conference of the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA) will be part of RehabWeek 2025 in Chicago.
In a July 19 bulletin, RESNA said its 2025 conference will include educational sessions on assistive technology; a developers’ showcase; student competitions; and scientific paper platforms and posters.
“RehabWeek is a week-long event that brings together different societies and organizations in the field of rehabilitation technology at the same time and place in order to foster cross-disciplinary communication and the development of relationships between different players,” RESNA said in its announcement.
“RehabWeek includes common keynote lectures and other mutually organized sessions, such as panel discussions and poster sessions. In addition, each society also organizes its own, conference specific sessions. Registered attendees can freely choose which conference to attend at any given time.”
The International Consortium for Rehabilitation Technology, which owns and operates RehabWeek, comprises five international core societies: the International Consortium on Rehabilitation Robotics; the International Functional Electrical Stimulation Society; the International Industry Society in Advanced Rehabilitation Technology; the International Society for Virtual Rehabilitation; and the MotusAcademy (advanced robots and artificial intelligence).
The RESNA conference is planned for May 13-15, with a pre-conference workshop day on May 12, and a post-conference clinic and laboratory tour day on May 16.
RESNA will open its call for 2025 session submissions on Aug. 5, 2024.
RehabWeek 2025’s venue is the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk.
