National Seating & Mobility (NSM)has joined the American Association for Homecare (AAHomecare) as a bronze corporate sponsor.
In the news announcement, NSM CEO Bill Mixon said the new partnership would benefit both parts of the company: the complex rehab technology division that boasts national provider coverage and its new AccessNSM division for home accessibility solutions.
“We have been impressed by the scale, capability and effectiveness of AAHomeCare in representing the critical areas of our industry,” Mixon said in a news announcement. “With specialists on staff and relationships with respected advisors, the association is a credible presence on the front lines on Capitol Hill and at state and federal agencies. We are proud to partner with them in the fight to represent the CRT industry, and we look forward to working together to also impact the mobility industry and the AccessNSM clients we serve.”
Mixon added that he believes belonging to AAHomecare is an important part of supporting the complex rehab technology industry as a whole.
“We view AAHomecare as part of the total advocacy strategy the CRT community should have,” he explained. “CRT suppliers and manufacturers need a strong partner to fight for sustainable reimbursement rates and sensible regulatory policies. We believe AAHomecare has the ability to offer the necessary level of focus inside of the larger umbrella of issues they represent and are counting on the association’s ability to leverage its size and capabilities for the benefit of the CRT community. NSM intends to be at the table with AAHomecare and NCART, and the proof of our impact will be in the outcomes achieved around the most critical CRT issues.”
Tom Ryan, AAHomecare president/CEO, said, “It’s gratifying to have a leader like NSM endorse our public policy efforts in such a significant fashion. Their expertise in the complex rehab technology and home access markets will be particularly important in helping us set and achieve policy priorities related to these and other mobility products. Additionally, NSM’s national presence, with hundreds of locations in 44 states, will add considerable strength to the CRT sector’s grassroots advocacy capabilities.”
