An optional DeGage dynamic rocker back accommodates clients with involuntary thrusting movements. The foot-operated wheel lock easily locks both rear wheels for caregiver convenience.
An ATP & Clinician Best Pick of 2017:
For end users who are harder on their equipment, the Solara 3G stands up to the hardest of users, and is still easy for caregivers to move around.
— Kathy Fallon, ATP, Kennebec Pharmacy & Home Care
An ATP & Clinician Best Pick of 2017:
Great for active users, as it propels like a rigid-frame wheelchair, but folds for easier transport in a small vehicle. Lots of adjustability in axle position and multiple options for standard features, like front hangers.
— Kathy Fallon, ATP, Kennebec Pharmacy & Home Care
Alber e-motion & Twion Power Assists
An ATP & Clinician Best Pick of 2017:
I look at power assist in two categories: push assist and self propel. [With] push assist, I think the e-motion wheels are the standard, with the ability to adjust how much it amplifies your push. And now with the smaller, Bluetooth-enabled Twion set, it cuts weight in half.
— Jeff Decker, ATP/SMS, CRTS, National Seating & Mobility

preserving performance for the
long haul. This specially designed
high-performance frame endures
the rigors of everyday use and
provides a smooth, efficient ride
for active users who need their
wheelchairs to keep up with all
An ATP & Clinician Best Pick of 2016:
You can do the “tape”
test, where you place tape
on the person’s back at
the level of the top of the
back support. Then when
placing this backrest angle
into recline, the tape
remains visible on the
seated individual’s back.
This indicates that the
Solara 3G’s backrest angle
and backrest contribute
to the reduction of shear and friction. When seated in other similar
manual wheelchairs, the backrest angle reclines/opens, and accommodation
is not made during this movement. This results in the individual
and the backrest no longer supported, with the head often coming off
the backrest and the lateral thoracic pads becoming “earmuffs.”
