Edge 3 with SRS Technology
Quantum Rehab’s new Edge 3 power wheelchair builds on the manufacturer’s Edge 2, but adds Smooth Ride Suspension (SRS) technology as well as standard fender lights, standard USB device charger and standard drive-wheel accents that correspond with new shroud color choices.
The SRS advancements are in response to consumers wanting a softer ride, which can facilitate the use of specialty driving controls and also reduce incidents of spasticity. The Edge 3’s options include iLevel power adjustable seating, and the ability to drive up to 4.5 mph with the seat elevated — helpful, for instance, when crossing busy streets. Quantum says other features, including the USB port and fender lights, are responses to consumer, provider and clinician input.
iLevel Power Chairs
Now, clients can drive up to 4.5 mph with their seat fully elevated up to 12". This new capability is available for iLevel systems on Quantum’s new Q6 Edge 3, and the chair maintains its enhanced safety thanks to iLevel’s patented Extra Stability Technology. iLevel has a 300-lb. weight capacity on the Q6 Edge 3, Edge 2.0, Edge 2.0 X and Edge Z. A 400-lb. capacity is available on the Q6 Edge HD. iLevel-equipped chairs are available in up to 24 color options, feature front and rear LED fender lights, and come standard with Q-Logic 3 Advanced Drive Controls with Bluetooth.
TRU-Balance 3 with Safe Seat Elevation
TRU-Balance 3 Power Positioning provides the ultimate in complex rehab seating and ADL functionality, including 12" iLevel elevation with Extra Stability Technology on the Q6 Edge 2.0 and 10" of Safe Seat Elevation on the 4Front. All elevation configurations allow walking-speed driving while elevated.
4Front Power Chair
Quantum Rehab’s first front-wheel-drive power chair is the 4Front, featuring SRS (Smooth Ride Suspension). Designed to address real-world needs, 4Front focuses on ride quality, driveability and safety; its suspension is based on leading automotive suspension systems. SRS uses four coilover gas-charged shocks for an ultra-smooth ride. The geometry in which the shocks are integrated into the power base allows independent wheel travel plus power base stabilization. The result: up to 10" of safe seat elevation while 4Front travels at 3.2 mph. 4Front delivers a smooth ride that lessens the bumps and jarring that can cause positional problems or increased tone and spasticity for complex rehab power chair users.

shell, viscoelastic foam and a breathable
cover for optimal positioning, pressure
management and comfort for complex
rehab clients. The Q-Back is available in three
contour depths — Active Contour, Deep

Consumer feedback has led to an
enhancement to the popular iLevel
adjustable seat height technology
available on Quantum Rehab’s Q6 Edge
2.0 power wheelchair base. Starting May
1, iLevel will feature 12" of vertical lift,
which is 2" higher than previously available.
The additional height will elevate most
iLevel clients to between 5'6" and 5'8" to
be closer to average adult height, and is
expected therefore to further improve
environmental access. Extra Stability
Technology mechanically stabilizes the
Edge power base while its user is
elevated to enable the chair to be
driven over varied terrains at up
to 3.5 mph. Additionally, LED
headlights and taillights in the
fenders will now be standard
when iLevel is ordered to enhance
its user’s visibility outdoors.
