The new Aquatec Ergo shower commode chair line is designed with comfort, independence and dignity in mind. The seat plate, based on the physical imprint left behind when seated, encourages a more upright and stable seating position, while a 5° seat pre-tilt lifts the knees into a natural squat position. New slide-tilt motion, without use of cylinders, shifts weight to center. Stainless steel frames and quality workmanship mean low maintenance for the caregiver. Ergo modular design allow the chairs to be adjusted as needs change. Off-the-shelf accessories are easy to fit.
This rehab shower commode chair features a Multi-Position Back with center-of-gravity adjustment and comes standard with 4" of height adjustment, an adjustable-tension fabric backrest, 5" dual-locking casters (for 400-lb. weight capacity) or 6" dual-locking casters (for 600-lb. weight capacity). The Ischial & Pelvic Alignment System provides 2" of seat depth adjustment to accommodate different body shapes and sizes, and to optimize comfort.
The TILT Toilet Incline Lift combines the functions of a heavy-duty commode and a lift chair to support consumers who need assistance in the bathroom. The system is also equipped with a companion control to operate the seat, if needed. A plastic shield protects the assembly and is easily removable for cleaning. The TILT is also designed to be quick and easy to install.
The new Symphony Back consists of a variety of soft-molded pads of different sizes that can be configured to fit chairs from 14" to 30" wide. The Symphony Back is deeply contoured and does not affect seat depth or the user’s alignment with the commode aperture. Pads are connected at the rear by stainless steel tie bars. The back mounts to the chair frame with composite mounting clips. The Symphony is corrosion proof and compliant with infection control protocols, making it ideal for hospital, nursing home, group home or personal use.

Zitzi Starfish Pro
This adjustable shower and commode chair is designed to fit today and grow for tomorrow. The stainless steel Starfish comes in three sizes and chassis models, and with manual adjust, hydraulic, and power-assist height adjustment with tilt-and-recline back. Created to fit clients from childhood to young adulthood, the Starfish features adjustable height and width of seat and back post to accommodate growth. The chair rises to help caregivers, to match the height of a toilet, or to assist with transfers. An open back and seat design allow easy access for bathing and hygiene.
This compact, tilting rehab shower commode chair was specifically designed for growing children and smaller adults. The Raz-CAT’s adjustability and modularity make it ideal to fit kids and teens through childhood and beyond. An 18" wide seat frame and base allow the Raz-CAT to roll over most toilets. Adjustable height enables the unit to clear toilet bowls and provides easier hygiene access by the caregiver. Backs are available in 14", 16" and 18" widths and in 15" or 18" heights. Seat depth adjusts from 11" to 16" with the standard Raz-CAT seat. Tilt capacities up to 40° reduce pressure and provide optimal trunk positioning. With a frame that’s 3" shorter than the Raz-AT, the CAT (Compact Attendant Tilt) is more maneuverable than larger hygiene units, but still is compatible with Raz accessories and custom seats.

Splashy Bath Seat
National Seating & Mobility (NSM) is the exclusive American distributor of Splashy, the new portable bath seat from Firefly by Leckey. To adapt to the child’s postural support needs, Splashy offers a five-point harness or three-point pelvic support. The seat has four detachable bumpers to lend extra support where it’s needed. The warm-touch foam is soft when wet or dry, and the seat reclines easily to position the child at the ideal angle for bathing. Travel-friendly Splashy will also be right at home in other wet environments, such as the beach or garden. Splashy will be co-distributed by NSM locations throughout the United States, as well as by AccessNSM locations, which focus on home accessibility solutions.
The Flamingo toilet/bathing chair comes in four sizes to accommodate clients from childhood through young adulthood. The seat tilts, and the Flamingo’s back can be angled to achieve the ideal seating and posture during hygiene activities. Flamingo’s adjustable height enables it to be placed over a toilet — or use a pan instead. Accessories include a head support, a push brace to maneuver the unit, sides that provide moderate torso control and positioning, and swing-away side supports. The seat is now also available in blue in addition to standard gray. The largest size (size 4) has a 154-lb. weight capacity.
The Raz-CAT (Compact Attendant Tilt) is both a growable pediatric rehab shower commode chair and a perfect fit for smaller adults. It accommodates growth via seat depth adjustment and the options of three back widths in two different heights. The unique tapered aperture — wider in the rear — provides an increasingly wider commode opening as the seat depth is increased. Seat depth can be adjusted from 11" to 16". Back widths of 14", 16" and 18" can be selected in either 15" or 18" heights. Tilt range is 40° or 25° when combined with the optional 30° reclining back. With any back selection, the Raz-CAT will fit over standard toilet bowls.
An ATP & Clinician Best Pick of 2017:
I use the Nuprodx line [multiCHAIR 6000, pictured] of bath transfer equipment mainly due to the ability to adjust for varied bathroom layouts, the narrow width of the transport section, and it’s made of metal vs. plastic. This allows for very little wear/breakage with years of use, and it can handle additional support pieces, such as trunk laterals and headrests.
