Amylior’s new CG Air line of cushions is made of medical-grade PVC for increased durability and stability while maintaining pressure relief benefits. CG Air cushions are easy to clean, do not retain odors, are customizable to the user’s needs, and have no weight limit as long as a clinician or provider can verify that the client is sitting safely and comfortably. CG Air cushions come with a hand pump and a two-year replacement warranty. Cover choices are two-way stretch (standard), 3D mesh or an incontinence cover.
TruComfort 2 with CoolCore
Stealth’s new line of cushions features patented, exclusive CoolCore Technology covers — chemical-free, four-way stretch material that offers moisture-wicking, moisture transportation and moisture evaporation properties. A color guide identifies the suggested HCPCS code and function family, identified with a color-coded PVC patch on each cushion. Other features include contoured, high-density foam bases; lateral and pre-ischial shelf contours; and a range of standard width and depth offerings.
Dynamic Systems Inc.
SunMate cushions combine high-impact energy absorption with soft pressure properties. Its slow spring-back enables it to contour to the user’s body, then slowly return to its original shape once pressure is removed. An open-cell structure maximizes airflow to reduce heat build-up, and viscoelastic properties allow the cushion to uniformly distribute pressure and absorb impact energy to alleviate sitting fatigue. Standard and custom sizes are available, as are wedges and contoured cushion shapes to meet the diverse needs of the wheelchair-using population.
Stimulite Contoured XS
Working with a client who has sensitive skin, but needs a higher level of skin protection and positioning? Supracor’s Stimulite Contoured XS offers “Total Pressure Management” — pressure relief, reduced shearing and ventilation to control heat and moisture to help prevent pressure injuries. Stimulite’s unique ventilation system of perforated honeycomb circulates air and evaporates moisture to minimize humidity. The 3.5" thick, ventilated XS weighs just 3.25 lbs. and has a soft top honeycomb layer fused to two bottom layers.
Operating in a similar way to an alternating mattress, the SofTech cushion was designed to both prevent future and help to heal existing pressure injuries. The cushion can be configured to offload directly under an existing injury. This means the client can sit while the cushion offloads under the injury and stimulates circulation throughout the rest of the posterior. SofTech changes pressure distribution as often as 60 times per hour and is therefore much more convenient than doing pressure-relief lifts. SofTech has no cushion size or weight limit, and each cushion is custom made for a specific client.
Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare
The Drive Medical Titanium Skin Protection and Positioning Gel/Foam cushion is designed to offer superior pressure redistribution via a combination of resilient, high-density foam and a dual-chamber gel bladder. Together, these media are designed to encourage proper posture through immersion into the cushion. A middle contour assists with positioning as a built-in leg abductor. The low-shear, fluid-resistant cover helps to maintain skin health, while the non-skid bottom offers added stability and safety. The cushion is HCPCS coded E2611/E2612.
Sunrise Medical (US) LLC
The adjustable Fusion features a JAY Flow Fluid insert in a cushion that’s comfortable, stable and supportive. The contoured base is constructed from closed-cell foam, providing positioning of the pelvis and thighs, and reducing fluid migration in the insert. The Flow Fluid allows for deep pelvic immersion to distribute pressure and help prevent skin breakdown. Add the Flow Fluid insert to soft, dense foam, and you get a cushion that conforms to each user’s shape, adjusts to sitting positions and ensures proper fluid placement beneath bony prominences. A water-resistant inner cover helps prevent bacterial growth.
Ride Custom 2
Ride’s new Custom 2 cushion features all the skin and postural care of the original Ride Custom cushion, but in a more comfortable, lighter and simpler design. The cushion is made specifically to match each user’s unique shape, helps to decrease long-term skin risk and aids in sitting stability for improved functional performance. Well suited to traditional custom seating clients, the Custom 2 also has unique features to make it a great match for active wheelchair users and growing kids. A 16x16" size weighs about 1.8 lbs., and the Custom 2’s base is softer. A base ventilation channel is optional.

Comfort Touch Cushions
Drive’s new collection of Comfort Touch cushions, part of its Pressure Prevention product line, includes an elevation wedge, a knee support cushion, a neck support pillow, a seat cushion and a heated lumbar support backrest. Many models offer hot and/or cold therapy options. The Elevation Wedge (pictured) features 1" of memory foam as its top layer to conform to the user’s head and neck. The Wedge can also be used in an upright position to provide lumbar support while sitting in bed. The heated Lumbar Support backrest cushion (also pictured) provides postural support and continuous heat therapy to ease back pain and muscle tension wherever a power supply is available.
Created for users looking for greater sitting stability and improved functional performance, the Java also works to improve skin outcomes, including lower tissue distortion and lower long-term skin risk. The cushion redistributes forces of pressure and shear away from high-risk areas, while applying the forces to more tolerant areas. Java’s design and cover materials are made to maintain cool, dry skin to encourage potentially lower pressures and less deep-tissue distortion. This enhanced sitting performance requires no regular fit-essential maintenance. Java can be adjusted using Ride CAM wedges if users’ conditions change.
