Nessie

Nessie

Inspired by Drive’s latest addition to its early-intervention, out-of-the-wheelchair positioning line comes in colors called Seahorse Green, Pool Blue and Mermaid Pink. Nessie is designed especially for children who are working on floor positioning at home or in clinic. It offers support as kids are crawling, lying down (supine, prone or side), straddling or sitting in various positions; its arms can be widened or narrowed to achieve a number of different poses. Nessie comes in three sizes, and it’s constructed of open-cell memory foam that’s sealed inside a waterproof plastic liner. That means the cover and the liner can be easily spot cleaned or washed. Nessie’s fun colors and playful shape are designed to appeal to children as well as their families.

M3

M3

Permobil’s new mid-wheel-drive power base, launching at ISS, will feel familiar to those who know the manufacturer’s front-wheel-drive F3 and F5. The M3 offers 50° of posterior tilt that’s twice as fast as its predecessor, and has 12" of seat elevation that’s 50 percent faster. But the M3 also offers anterior tilt to facilitate a critical function that Permobil calls Active Reach, used in everyday situations ranging from leaning forward during mealtimes to facilitating transfers. Consumers who like the maneuverability of mid-wheel drive can now enjoy even greater positioning options.

Aeromesh Belts & Calf Supports

Aeromesh Belts & Calf Supports

Bodypoint shower chair belts and wheelchair calf supports are made from Aeromesh, a polyester mesh that is silky and smooth, not stiff against the skin. Water, soap, dirt and air flow freely through, and Aeromesh’s porosity prevents buildup of moisture, grime and heat. Shower belts have Bodypoint’s strong, standards-tested side-release buckle, and oversized D rings for easier grasping. Hook-and-loop calf supports, in panel and strap styles, have an Aeromesh layer against the skin, with a stiffener layer underneath.

Symmetric Designs

Axion Rotary Interface

Axion Rotary Interface

The Axion enables headrest pads and head positioning devices to rotate with the user’s head, thus transforming static headrests into dynamic positioning devices. Combined with the user’s head support, the Axion allows the head support to rotate to reduce shear forces and improve peripheral vision. The result: Head support that also enables the head to move horizontally.
