For an active standing program, check out the EasyStand Glider’s state-of-the-art features. The user’s arms move the glide handles, and that motion is reciprocated in the legs, resulting in a motion similar to cross-country skiing. Active standing combines increased lower-extremity range of motion and upper-body strengthening while bearing weight. The EasyStand Glider is available in two sizes (medium and large) and fits users from 4' tall to 6'2" tall and weighing up to 280 lbs.

The Zing MPS and the MPS TT (for Title Table style, pictured) are the only multi-position standers that pivot in two directions to enable the unit to go from flat-to-load supine to 20° prone in one motion. This eliminates the need to transfer the user in and out, or to flip pads, footplates and trays. The option of up to 30° of independent, anatomically correct leg abduction further sets it apart from other “multi-position” children up to 60" tall and weighing up to 154 lbs. The Zing family of standers now has its own Web site.
An ATP & Clinician Best Pick of 2018:
Need a stander for your classroom? Order the Superstand HLT from Prime Engineering with the adjustable depth and height supports. The trunk laterals and hip guides will be in slots that go in/out and up/down by just sliding. Also, upgrade to the metal wheels. This one unit can go prone, supine, upright, abduct, and accommodate almost any postural impairment.
For severe knee and hip contractures (20-90°), add the special system (get a longer bar for hip contractures). There will be no pressure on the patellae, and you can start to try to gain range. One study gained 3° a week! If you need more than 30° of abduction, order a longer bar and the rotational foot plates so you can align the hind foot with the tibia.
For the final touch, order the water-resistant covers. These look great, but also offer an additional level of cleanliness, as you can swap them out and wash them between users.

Innovation in Motion
Mini Standy APP
The Ormesa-designed Mini Standy APP significantly increases the amount of stimulation a child receives while standing in the device. Via an audio system that’s fixed under the platform, the Mini Standy APP’s sound waves vibrate through the structure of the stander to stimulate body and brain. Bright colors make the stander an attractive addition to classrooms and homes. The stander comes in three sizes and a weight capacity of 121 lbs.
The Kaye Dynamic Stander allows 360° of movement within the base of support while the client is standing. The stander is specifically designed for clients who have trouble balancing or weight shifting on their own or cannot stand unaided. Excursion of movement is adjustable via a spring-loaded crank. Clients can begin by experiencing limited movement, then can increase range of movement as they develop confidence. Since sway can be damped down, clients can pair postural control with function, and can experience weight shifts typical of reaching, eating and self-care activities. Available in two sizes for clients up to 6'2" tall.
F5 Corpus VS
Permobil’s famous Corpus seating system offers standing functionality for the real world, including being able to stand and drive at any point of the standing sequence. Redesigned chest bar and knee blocks offer added comfort and safety while standing, along with simplified adjustment points and quick-release mechanisms. A true fully independent suspension enables the F5 Corpus VS to absorb the bumps and obstacles that active power chair users encounter every day. Updated shocks are fully adjustable while the user remains in the chair.
LEVO USA Inc.
C3 Standing Chair
LEVO’s C3 makes standing available for adults and kids (with pediatric sizing as small as 12.5" seat width/13.75" seat depth). A Dual Drive System delivers traction to both the mid and front wheels. As the user sits, the center wheels drive the chair for great maneuverability. When the user stands, the motor/chain-drive front wheels lower to the floor (mid wheels up) to provide sturdy, stable traction. The standing system is low shear, and the C3 can also be equipped with tilt-in-space seating and a reclining back. On flat surfaces, the C3 can be driven with its user in the standing position.
