For an active standing program, check out the EasyStand Glider’s state-of-the-art features. The user’s arms move the glide handles, and that motion is reciprocated in the legs, resulting in a motion similar to cross-country skiing. Active standing combines increased lower-extremity range of motion and upper-body strengthening while bearing weight. The EasyStand Glider is available in two sizes (medium and large) and fits users from 4' tall to 6'2" tall and weighing up to 280 lbs.
Roll Geek LLC
As seen at the 2019 International Seating Symposium: Designed by power chair user Joe Olson, who holds a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Science & Technology from the University of Pittsburgh, the Ergo Joystick fits onto a standard joystick handle and can replace traditional goalpost-style handles. Ergo Joysticks are 3D printed to fit the palms of their users. These handles provide a comfortable platform that makes driving intuitive and instinctive, and much less tiring for users with weakened or impaired hand function. Choose from three styles: the Panther supports the weight of the forearm and hand on the pads of the user’s palm. The Stingray conforms to the user’s palm and is designed to be most comfortable when the power chair is being driven forward. The Aero uses an arching, supportive design and is most effective for users with unique hand shapes. Ergo Joysticks are available in a range of colors and can be further customized with users’ names or other designs.

Ethos Ultralightweight Chair
As seen at the 2019 International Seating Symposium: Self-propelling isn’t the only activity that can fatigue ultralightweight manual wheelchair users. So can absorbing the endless vibration and jostling transmitted through the chair every time it rolls over a crack in the sidewalk, a transition from carpet to flooring, or any of a thousand other discrepancies on the ground. Vibrations can trigger spasticity, cause pain, and decrease sitting tolerance. But Ki Mobility has a new answer. Its Ethos wheelchair is specifically designed to reduce movement in the legs and feet as the chair rolls. The Ethos seat frame is isolated from the base frame to reduce the vibration that is transmitted to the wheelchair user. The bottom frame is rigid to prevent loss of energy, but a small cross brace up front provides some caster flexion to produce a comfortable and efficient ride. The chair also offers a wide range of seat widths and depths, front and rear seat heights, camber, and frame/highlight colors so Ethos can be tailored and fit optimally to every user. Ethos was designed by longtime wheelchair user Alan Ludovici, Ki Mobility’s Senior Design Engineer.
Apex Headrest Pads
As seen at the 2019 National Seating & Mobility Symposium: Symmetric Designs’ new Apex headrest pads use dual-layer foam and an alloy shell (with adjustable contour) to provide both comfort and support in a zipper-free design. The shell is embedded into the foam for extra “edge” protection; the foam is also easily replaceable. The amazingly lightweight Apex comes with a removable Neoprene or Startex cover, in oval or winged shapes and in multiple colors. The winged shape is reversible, so the wings can be at the top or bottom of the headrest. The winged shape is available in two sizes; the oval shape is available in four sizes.
Shoulder Harness Strap Guides
As seen at the 2019 International Seating Symposium: Place and keep chest and shoulder harnesses exactly where you want them. Bodypoint’s new Shoulder Harness Strap Guides provide a customized fit, even on low or contoured backrests. Elevate the mounting position of top straps to achieve the ideal angle for more even pressure distribution over the shoulder. The guides feature super-strong spring steel that absorbs shock to prevent damage to the back; integrated holes allow easy harness attachment, no extra drilling needed. Long mounting slots accommodate a range of backrests and offer greater adjustability. Optional Mounting Adapters (lower photo) enable the use of existing headrest holes to minimize the need for drilling and to make fine-tuning the fit easy and convenient. Strap guides and Mounting Adapters are each available in two sizes.
