The Java’s patented biomechanical design provides the flexibility to easily and independently optimize pelvic support and balance the trunk, supporting the normal rhythm and movement of the body. The back is available in widths of 14-20". The three back heights are Regular (below scapulae), Tall (mid scapulae) and Grande (top of shoulder; all heights are available in 3" or 6" depth. Free Form Seating
Now HCPCS coded E2617, Free Form Seating combines customizability with ease of use and adjustability. The system allows for gradual corrective positioning and also can accommodate a client’s growth and weight fluctuations. Modules can be removed or recessed for total off-loading. The system is designed to be lightweight and breathable, while also being able to support clients with kyphosis, scoliosis, lordosis or other positioning challenges. This back can be covered with the most appropriate padding for each client, and Free Form’s design can dampen vibration and provide some dynamic movement.
TRU-Comfort 2 Back Cushion
The TRU-Comfort 2 Back Cushion from Quantum Rehab provides adjustable positioning and pressure management. Additionally, this back is compatible with both TRU-Balance 3 Power Positioning Systems and the Static Seat Frame System. The TRU-Comfort 2 Back features a four-way stretch, recovery, fluid-resistant, breathable cover to meet the varied demands of today’s wheelchair consumers.
The JAY J3 line offers a range of width, height and contour depth shells to fit varying client needs. Each back is lightweight and adjustable, with many hardware choices for easy installation. J3 hardware uses a clamp style to fit frame tubing from 3/4" to 1 1/8", making it a highly compatible aftermarket option. The solid shell comes in five contour shapes and four support heights to provide support for clients with different postures and functional needs. This attendant-operated stair climber works on angled, straight and curved stairs of many types (wood, metal, concrete or carpeted). The LIFTKAR model PT-U (pictured) attaches to a manual wheelchair and is compatible with most standard, transport, sport or pediatric models. Another model (the PT-S) features a built-in seat and does not require a wheelchair. Both models disassemble into three parts that can be easily stored in a car; the heaviest piece is 41 lbs. Edge 3 with SRS Technology
Quantum Rehab’s new Edge 3 power wheelchair builds on the manufacturer’s Edge 2, but adds Smooth Ride Suspension (SRS) technology as well as standard fender lights, standard USB device charger and standard drive-wheel accents that correspond with new shroud color choices.
The SRS advancements are in response to consumers wanting a softer ride, which can facilitate the use of specialty driving controls and also reduce incidents of spasticity. The Edge 3’s options include iLevel power adjustable seating, and the ability to drive up to 4.5 mph with the seat elevated — helpful, for instance, when crossing busy streets. Quantum says other features, including the USB port and fender lights, are responses to consumer, provider and clinician input.
Available in manual or hybrid-electric models, the QUICKIE Attitude hand bike is an add-on for QUICKIE Q7 NextGen, 7R, 7RS, 5R, QRi, GT, GP and Q2 Lite Fixed Front & Non Hemi. It has a four-point docking mechanism that allows the hand bike to lock so its user is ready to go in seconds. Starting at 32 lbs., Attitude is lightweight and easily maneuverable. The manual option comes with either the standard 30-speed gearing or optional 8-speed integral hub. Choose a thumb gear shifter or grip shifter for those with limited dexterity. To reduce fatigue, the powered motor can be engaged going into hill climbs or whenever a power boost is needed.
