AAHomecare Launches Retail Work Group for CRT

April 13, 2017 by Laurie Watanabe

The American Association for Homecare (AAHomecare) has created a Retail Work Group within the organization’s existing Complex Rehab & Mobility Council (CRMC).

In an April 12 news announcement, AAHomecare said the new work group would give “suppliers an opportunity to share information and exchange ideas on how to be successful in a cash-and-carry retail environment.”

The work group held its first meeting during the first week of April and now plans to hold monthly conference calls. Agenda topics include retail layouts, operational strategies, advertising best practices, legal aspects of marketing and promotions, and staff training.

Nancy Froslie of Sanford HealthCare Accessories is the work group’s chair.

“This work group is a collaboration of CRMC members who are trying to supplement their cuts in reimbursement with retail cash sales,” Froslie said. “Tapping in on a solid retail sales revenue is a great way for providers to increase sales and improve their cash flow.”

AAHomecare members who want to participate in the new work group can contact AAHomecare’s Ashley Plauché, manager of government affairs, at [email protected].
