Abilities Expo: Next Virtual Event is March 26-27

February 2, 2021 by Laurie Watanabe

The Abilities Expo consumer show series will kick off its 2021 campaign with a virtual event on March 26-27.

This will be the third virtual Abilities Expo, aka, the Abilities Virtual Experience, a format adopted when the COVID-19 pandemic closed down in-person events. The first two virtual Abilities Expo took place in June and November 2020.

The March event will take place over just two days — Friday and Saturday — versus the three-day-weekend format the show series used last year. The event will be accessible 24 hours a day during show dates, but live interviews, workshops and activities will take place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pacific time each day.

As with previous online events, the Abilities Virtual Experience will include an expo hall as well as educational sessions and demonstrations of sports and other activities.

Admission is free, but registration is required.

The Abilities Expo season usually begins in Los Angeles, but that in-person event has been moved to Oct. 29-31.

The first in-person event for 2021 is now scheduled for Chicago, June 25-27. Other in-person shows are scheduled for Houston (Aug. 6-8), Phoenix (Sept. 10-12), New York Metro (Oct. 1-3), and Dallas (Dec. 3-5). Dates for a Toronto 2021 event have not yet been announced.
