The Abilities International Accessibility Conference — the professional conference arm of the Abilities Expo show series — has announced 2027 dates and venues.
Next year, the conference will be at the Long Beach (California) Convention Center on Jan. 13-14, and at the New Jersey Convention & Expo Center on April 29-30.
Both educational conferences will be co-located with the consumer-focused Abilities Expo. The New Jersey/New York Metro conference will also host the Rehabilitation Engineering & Assistive Technology Society of North America’s (RESNA) annual conference, student competition and developers showcase.
Each Abilities conference will feature three continuing education unit (CEU) tracks: Improving Patient Outcomes; Business Optimization; and Adapted Living.
Educational courses are designed for Complex Rehab Technology professionals, including seating clinicians, assistive technology professionals (ATPs), manufacturers, suppliers and accessibility professionals.
The professional conference made its debut this year, with events in Long Beach; Edison, New Jersey; and Schaumburg, Illinois, all co-located with Abilities Expo events. This year, the conference partnered with several industry organizations in addition to RESNA, including the National Coalition for Assistive & Rehab Technology (NCART), the Clinician Task Force, U.S. Rehab, and the International Seating Symposium/University of Pittsburgh.
