Ability Members Group Welcomes Home Medical Equipment Ltd.

Home Medical Equipment Ltd. (HME) has joined Ability Members Group, a national network of home medical equipment providers in Canada.

HME was founded 40 years ago by Tom and Judy Russell, and today it is one of the largest independent providers in the country. HME sells power and manual Complex Rehab wheelchairs and seating, as well as a full array of durable medical equipment and accessibility equipment.

HME has locations in Toronto (head office), Burlington, and Barrie, Ont.

Jamie Church, CEO of Ability Members Group, said in a news announcement, “Adding HME to our group is an important win for all our members. Partners such as HME help us to scale up and better support members in serving their communities. Our strong growth from the 15 locations we began with in 2017, to the 70 locations we have now, reflects the value we add to our members.”

Tom Russell said joining Ability Members Group “will enable us to focus even more upon client care and develop synergies to serve our communities with mobility devices and home accessibility equipment.”

In the announcement, Ability Members Group, which launched in 2017, as a current goal of topping 100 member locations throughout Canada. The organization now has 70 locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Yukon.
