National Seating & Mobility’s (NSM) acquisition activities aren’t limited to complex rehab companies.
In a June 1 news announcement, AccessNSM said it had acquired Home Safe, an accessibility company based in Tampa, Fla.
AccessNSM — the accessibility division of NSM — described Home safe as “a preferred home accessibility provider for many third-party payors, including workers compensation administrators and Veterans Administration facilities.”
In addition to providing accessibility equipment such as vertical platform lifts, stairlifts and vehicle lifts, Home Safe also provides home modification and construction services, such as room additions and bathroom modifications.
NSM CEO Bill Mixon said, “NSM is committed to expand our reach and broaden our capabilities supporting the journey to independence for our clients. This acquisition not only significantly expands our footprint, but also enhances our nationwide network of branches and mobility experts with the addition of a team of experienced home accessibility experts.”
That team will include Home Safe’s co-founder, Ward Farley. NSM said Farley will continue to head operations at the Tampa location. Home Safe’s Ferenc Moricz, ATP, will also join NSM and “will provide support through a CRT [complex rehab technology] lens to ensure a clinically holistic approach to accessibility within the home,” according to the news announcement.
“Home Safe is respected in the industry for the company’s strong focus on quality and reputation for customer satisfaction,” Mixon said of this latest acquisition. “Their experienced team will play an integral role in driving the growth of our home access business.”
