AltimateMedical and Therafin Corp. have announced a “strategic partnership,” with the new agreement closing on March 31.
In an April 4 press release, AltimateMedical welcomed Therafin President Todd Fink and Therafin team members.
“This partnership combines the strengths of both companies, significantly expanding their collective product offerings and creating opportunities to enhance product innovation and reach a broader market,” the announcement said. “By joining forces, AltimateMedical and Therafin will provide comprehensive solutions, enhancing value for customers and partners in the complex rehabilitation and health-care markets.”
AltimateMedical’s product lines include EasyStand standing systems for children and adults, and ActiveAid bath/hygiene systems with positioning features. Therafin Corp. manufactures seating and positioning components for wheelchair riders.
In a social media post, Fink said, “After more than 30 years leading Therafin — and a lifetime of being part of this family business — it’s a big moment for me to share what we have officially partnered with AltimateMedical.”
Fink added that he didn’t make this decision lightly. “Therafin was started by my father in 1968, and I’ve been working here full-time since 1991 — though I technically started part-time around age 8,” he said. “Over the years, I’ve come to deeply appreciate what it means to serve individuals facing mobility and daily living challenges — and to build a team and a company that puts people first. We’ll continue to manufacture Therafin products in Frankfort [Illinois], and our team remains in place. Going forward, we’ll operate under the AltimateMedical name while maintaining the Therafin brand.”
He signed his social media post as president emeritus, Therafin Corp., and senior advisor, AltimateMedical.
“AltimateMedical and Therafin share a deep commitment to improve lives with thoughtfully designed, innovative medical technology and to enhance stakeholder well-being over the long term,” said Ryan Williams, CEO of AltimateMedical, in the press release. “We warmly welcome Therafin team members, customers, and suppliers into the AltimateMedical family and look forward to our shared future of innovation and collaboration.”
AltimateMedical said it did not expect the new partnership to cause any disruptions to current customer or supplier relationships.
