Amerityre Becomes OEM Supplier to Amigo

February 17, 2008 by Mobility Management

Amerityre Corp.’s Flatfree polyurethane tires will be original equipment on Amigo Mobility’s SmartShopper commercial scooter. Amerityre said in a news release that it expects to initially supply Amigo with 25,000 tires per year.

Said Amigo President Al Thieme, “We are very happy to be working with Amerityre. Amerityre shares our business ideals. They are environmentally friendly and believe in producing high-quality goods that are made in America. Amerityre’s Flatfree tires currently used on our Amigo SmartShoppers have demonstrated stellar performance under daily heavy-duty use in retail environments. The Amerityre polyurethane foam tires provide a smoother, more comfortable ride and reduce the overall weight of the Amigo by four pounds.”

Amigo Mobility, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year and offers a wide range of scooters, is based in Bridgeport, Mich. Amerityre is based in Boulder City, Nev.
