Amylior has become the new American distributor for several adult and pediatric products from Italian manufacturer Ormesa.
“We are very pleased to announce our partnership with Ormesa, a collaboration that perfectly aligns with our mission and values,” said M. Eric Dugas, Amylior’s president, in an Aug. 20 announcement. “This exciting alliance reflects a shared commitment to excellence, innovation and customer satisfaction. It enables us to expand our product offerings, allowing us to better serve the diverse needs of our customers.”
Amylior, based in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec, will distribute the Bug, the Grillo, and the Juditta. Amylior will also provide service and replacement parts for those Ormesa products already in use in the United States, a solution “ensuring continued support for dealers, clinicians and end users familiar with the brand,” Amylior added.
The Grillo walker for kids and adults is available in front- and rear-direction models. It features adjustability for each client as well as ergonomic supports and stability to encourage movement.
The lightweight, highly adjustable Bug is a modular, versatile stroller with integrated tilt-in-space seating. The Bug’s seating system can also be used on a total of four bases, including a high-low indoor base.
The Juditta is an attendant-propelled tilt and recline wheelchair designed for adults who spend extended periods in their wheelchairs. The Juditta’s ergonomic seating features viscoelastic cords to adapt to its user’s anatomy. The adjustable headrest and footrests enable seating and care teams to dial in optimal positioning for each client. Additional available components include a tray, multiple legrest/calf-pad options, upholstery, anti-tips and seat belts.
The Juditta has a posterior tilt range of 10 to 35 degrees (seat bottom inclination-tilt) and backrest inclination from 10 to 38 degrees.
Innovation In Motion, a division of Vestil Manufacturing Corp. and longtime American distributor for Foligno, Italy-based Ormesa, posted an announcement on Dec. 31, 2024, indicating that it was no longer affiliated with Ormesa.
