NGS to Launch Upgraded Provider Contact Center System

New functionality designed to reduce time providers spend on the phone.

National Government Services (NGS), the Jurisdiction B DME MAC, has upgraded its Provider Contact Center system with a goal of reducing the time that callers spend on the phone.

The upgraded system will gather "provider authentication elements at the beginning of the call via an automated phone system and (transfer) the information to the Customer Care Representative," according to a news release from NGS. NGS says that having that information at the start of interaction with the representative will enable them "to address the caller's question more quickly."

The new system is scheduled to launch on June 1. The phone number for the Customer Care Contact Center is (866) 590-6727.
