Sunrise Medical Named to Quality Leadership List

Sunrise Medical has been named to the 2010 Quality Leadership 100 list, an awards program that recognizes companies that excel at quality control and quality improvement programs.

Sunrise finished at number 60 in the list of 100 recognized companies. More than 800 companies competed.

According to Quality Magazine, the contest sponsor, participants were judged on such criteria as "scrap and rework as a percentage of sales, warranty costs as a percentage of sales, rejected parts per million shipped and contribution of quality to profitability and shareholder value."

Other criteria included the number of quality programs a company has in place, the percentage of employees dedicated to quality responsibilities, and the average number of hours monthly that employees receive in quality training.

"Sunrise Medical being recognized on this list is truly a testament to the commitment and dedication our associates have to high-quality standards and compliance throughout the product development and manufacturing process," says Gary Johnson, Sunrise VP of quality.

Quality Magazine is a monthly professional publication dedicated to helping readers to improve quality assurance in manufacturing planning as well as "on the shop floor."
