NMEDA Reveals New Logo

The National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) has unveiled a new logo designed to illustrate the work done by its adaptive automotive membership.

The new logo – which depicts the familiar “person in wheelchair” symbol surrounded by the outline of a car – was shown to attendees of NMEDA’s annual conference last month, according to a news release.

In describing the new logo, the release said, “At a glance, when a person affected by disabilities or not sees it, they would know exactly what the association represents – automotive mobility solutions and services for people with disabilities.” In addition, the logo’s blue color was meant to mimic disabled parking lot signs, while the rounded-rectangular shape of the logo emulates the shape of road signs.

NMEDA also released a new graphic standards manual.

NMEDA Executive Director/CEO Dave Hubbard said, “It’s a phenomenal feeling when what you thought could only be conveyed by using several words can be represented in one concise, yet comprehensive image. On behalf of our 650-member organization, I can say that our new logo and graphic standards manual paint the proper picture, complete with streamlined language, of how to tell the NMEDA story.”
