CIGNA Provider Contact Center to Remain Open May 6 with Limited Staffing

CIGNA Government Services, the Jurisdiction C DME MAC, says it has canceled scheduled customer service representative and staff training for Thursday, May 6, and will now be open during regular business hours on that day.
CIGNA's provider contact center had planned to be closed on May 6 to accommodate previously scheduled staff training. But because the provider contact center experienced "unexpected interruption in the availability of our customer service representatives earlier this week," CIGNA has decided to remain open on Thursday, the DME MAC said in a news release.
Located in Nashville, Tenn., CIGNA has been affected by the severe storms and flooding plaguing the Southeast. While the provider contact center will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central time on Thursday, CIGNA says it is still operating with limited staffing, and is asking providers to continue to use its interactive voice response (IVR) system and its Web site to take advantage of the self-service tools.
