Braun Acquires Partial Ownership of Autoadapt, Forms European Partnership with Bruno

After acquiring what it's describing as a "substantial ownership position" of Autoadapt, Braun Corp. has announced it's formed a partnership in Europe with Bruno Independent Living Aids, which previously owned Autoadapt.

A March 14 news release from Bruno said, "Braun has acquired partial ownership in Autoadapt AB, which is a leading mobility products manufacturer based in Stenkullen, Sweden, with operations in both Sweden and the UK and an established global mobility products distribution network. Bruno had previously held an ownership position in Autoadapt, and that ownership will now be shared with Braun."

The news release added that the majority of Autoadapt shares are held equally by Braun and Bruno, with Autoadapt founders Hakan Sandberg and Peter Wahlsten continuing to hold minority ownership.

Sandberg and Wahlsten will continue to run the company, according to an Autoadapt press release about the ownership change.

In addition to serving the consumer auto accessibility markets, Autoadapt is expanding into the commercial transportation market, including taxis and buses.
