National Government Services (NGS), the Jurisdiction B DME MAC has reported an increase in the number of overpayments that are being sent to an incorrect address or that use an incorrect overpayment form.
To address the problems, NGS has issued a reminder to DME suppliers faced with an overpayment situation.
The NGS Overpayment Recovery Unit voluntary refund form should be used, NGS says, when “a supplier has identified an overpayment and the supplier would like to settle the overpayment with a check.” The completed form and check should be mailed to National Government Services, NGS – 17003 DME MAC Non-MSP, PO Box 809273, Chicago, IL 60680-9273. The form cannot be faxed to NGS.
If a supplier elects to use the offset process to settle an overpayment that has been identified by the supplier or by NGS, the Overpayment Recovery Unit Jurisdiction B DME MAC Offset Request Form should be used. The form can be faxed to (317) 913-6164, or mailed to National Government Services, NGS – 17003 DME MAC Non-MSP, PO Box 809273, Chicago, IL 60680-9273.

If Medicare was the secondary payor on a DME claim, different forms and addresses should be used. Click HERE to go to NGS’ page dedicated to secondary payors, then click on the Medicare Secondary Payer Jurisdiction B DME MAC Voluntary Refund Form or Medicare Secondary Payer Jurisdiction B DME MAC Offset Request Form.
