Ride Designs Adds Staffers

Ride Designs, manufacturer of specialty wheelchair seating and positioning equipment, has expanded its staff.

The Sheridan, Colo.-based company (ridedesigns.com) has named Daniella Giles, MSPT, ATP, SMS, its new clinical and sales specialist for California. Giles, who has more than a decade’s experience in the industry, has been a staff PT for the Veterans Administration and in the private sector. Giles’ experience includes working with pediatric, adult and geriatric clients.

Rex Stevens is Ride’s new R&D engineering manager. He has 20 years’ experience in designing mobility products and has been awarded more than a dozen patents during his career, which included a tenure at Sunrise Medical.

Eric Vielbig becomes Ride’s new director of operations. Vielbig has worked for Motion Designs and Sunrise Medical, previously assuming operational responsibilities for Sunrise’s mobility products division.

Ride’s CEO, Tom Hetzel, noted that the staff additions come at a time that the company is growing despite challenging economic times. “We attribute our growth to our innovative products and solutions,” Hetzel said in a news announcement. “This is our core competency and what we are known for.”
