Carolina Mobility & Seating is the latest acquisition for ATG Rehab.
The purchase of the complex rehab technology provider, with five locations in North Carolina and Virginia, will add 18 ATPs to ATG Rehab's team, according to a news announcement earlier this week.
ATG said Carolina's Wilmington, N.C., office will merge with ATG's existing Wilmington location early this year. The four other offices - in Chesapeake, Va., and in Apex, Asheville and Greensboro, N.C. - will become new ATG locations.
On its Web site, Carolina Mobility & Seating refers to itself as specializing in pediatric complex rehab technology, and as offering a repair center. ATG added that the company "has specialized in custom-designed seating & mobility equipment for nearly 14 years."
Gary Gilberti, an ATG Rehab division president, said of the acquisition, "ATG Rehab's purchase of Carolina Seating & Mobility adds tremendous depth to our North Carolina and eastern Virginia operations, while strengthening our services throughout the state. We're delighted to welcome the Carolina Seating & Mobility team to the ATG family, and look forward to offering their customers and clinicians the technological advancements we offer in expedited transactional processing and enhanced communication."
By adding Carolina Mobility & Seating to its portfolio, ATG Rehab brings its total of offices to 64, operating in 30 states.
