National Seating & Mobility (NSM) has acquired Rehab Health Care, a complex rehab technology provider in Virginia.
In a news announcement, NSM said Rehab Health Care (RHC) has four locations in the cities of Charlottesville, Fishersville, Norfolk and Richmond.
Mike Ballard, CEO/president of NSM, said in the news announcement, "RHC's staff members are great people. They fit perfectly with our philosophy of being the best possible complex rehab provider. RHC served Virginia well, and we're happy they've joined our NSM family."
RHC was founded in 1986; Ballard founded NSM in 1992. NSM now has more than 70 locations in more than 30 states across the country.
"This is a great opportunity for our staff and me," said Linda Dew, RHC president. "The support, assistance and resources that our staff members and clients and referral sources will get by being part of NSM is very exciting."
Dew will now serve as the new general manager of NSM's Virginia region.
John Bertone, southeastern regional VP for NSM, said of the next steps, "Our top priority is to contact local therapists, physicians and clients and share our plans for a seamless transition. We expect to hit the ground running."
