Numotion Acquires Mobility Designs

Numotion has acquired Mobility Designs, a complex rehab technology provider based in Atlanta.

Mobility Designs was founded in 1985 by Larry Ezzard, president of Mobility Designs at the time of the acquisition, and Ruth Womack, secretary/treasurer. On the Mobility Designs’ Web site, Ezzard and Womack said the company began with the name Medical Rehab, then changed the name to Mobility Designs after purchasing American Rehab in 1999.

William Boyce, Numotion’s regional VP, said about the acquisition, “The purchase of Mobility Designs greatly expands our presence in the market, and helps strengthen our services throughout the state of Georgia. The Mobility Designs team is well known for its personalized care of pediatric clients, and it is an honor to be able to continue to serve and support their many customers.”

Numotion, formed earlier this year by the merger of ATG Rehab and United Seating & Mobility, has more than 2,000 employees and more than 140 offices across the country.
