Mike Kloos has become the new president of VGM Insurance to replace Tom Jones, who retired at the end of May.
Kloos most recently was senior VP of strategic business development for TCF Equipment Finance, which purchased VGM Financial Services in 2004. Prior to the purchase, Kloos had joined VGM Leasing, which was later renamed VGM Financial Services, in 1994.
Van G. Miller, CEO/founder of The VGM Group, said in a news announcement, "I am confident that Mike is the right individual for this job because of his extensive experience with VGM and TCF. Mike is a proven executive with a tremendous track record of growing businesses. He has deep knowledge and understanding of the HME and [orthotics and prosthetics] industries. He is a great leader, communicator and problem-solver."
VGM described VGM Insurance as "the nation's largest provider of general, products/completed operations and professional liability coverages, and Medicare/Medicaid surety bonds for DMEPOS providers." VGM Insurance also offers business auto, property and workers' compensation insurance coverage.
VGM said Jones will continue to offer consulting services through the end of the year.
The VGM Group hosts its annual Heartland Conference June 10-13 in its hometown of Waterloo, Iowa.
