Harmar Adds to Its Operations, Engineering & Quality Teams

Harmar has added several new hires to its operations, engineering and quality teams, the accessibility manufacturer has announced in a new release.

Mark Welcer is Harmar's new chief operating officer and will be in charge of all internal operations covering production, quality and engineering systems. Welcer also becomes Harmar's new chief compliance officer.

In announcing Welcer's hire, Chad Williams, Harmar's CEO, said, "Mark brings the wealth of experience that will support Harmar's growth by ensuring that we have not only the most efficient operational systems, but also the most innovative products available in the industry. The quality and compliance of every product and process is priority number one. Our customers are already experiencing the benefits of our improved team and can expect great things to come."

Reporting to Welcer are new hires Les Smith, engineering director, and David Sapuppo, quality assurance director.

Harmar says Smith has more than 30 years' experience in engineering and operations and will be responsible for product engineering from development through manufacturing and facilities management.

Sapuppo has more than 20 years' experience in managing manufacturing operations to incorporate leading-edge technology systems.
