Wheelchairs Plus, a regional complex rehab technology provider in Minnesota, has become the latest company to join Numotion.
Wheelchairs Plus currently has two locations, in Grand Rapids and St. Cloud, Minn. The business was founded in 1976 by Christine and Dick Schedin, parents to a son with special needs.
For the last 37 years, the company has been "providing quality equipment and service for all ages and needs," said Christine Schedin in a Numotion news announcement. "The equipment specialists will remain the same, and we will continue to provide the excellent service our clients depend on."
Numotion Regional VP Timothy Havel said of the acquisition, "The Wheelchairs Pus team has a longstanding reputation for great service, and we are excited to continue to serve and support their many customers. The addition of Wheelchairs Plus expands our coverage and improves access to complex rehab technology to residents throughout the state."
In addition to providing complex rehab equipment, including custom-molded seating, Wheelchairs Plus sells accessible automotive vehicles and home accessibility equipment.
