Former Navy SEAL to Headline VGM Heartland

A former U.S. Navy SEAL, now a best-selling author, will provide the keynote address at The VGM Group’s Heartland Conference in June.

As a Navy SEAL, Kevin Lacz served as a platoon sniper and combat medic during two tours in Iraq. After the Navy, Lacz earned a political science degree at the University of Connecticut and a master’s degree in health science from Wake Forest University. He currently works as a physician assistant, as well as a professional speaker and author. His memoir, The Last Punisher, describes his experiences with SEAL Team THREE.

Lacz’s Heartland presentation is called, “A Morning with Kevin Lacz: Risk vs. Reward.” In a news announcement, VGM said the keynote will cover “the importance of identifying, mitigating and overcoming risks by using his own journey from struggling student to decorated Navy SEAL as an example.”

Sara Laures, VGM VP of special projects and the conference’s chairperson, said, “Heartland Conference is all about creating impactful experiences that our members can utilize to improve their business. Kevin’s presentation is delivered with passion and, coupled with his wry humor, will inspire and motivate our attendees to overcome their fears and achieve at a high level.”

VGM’s announcement said Lacz will meet attendees after his keynote and will be available to sign copies of his book.

The Heartland conference takes place in Waterloo, Iowa, June 12-15. The annual meeting gives attendees the opportunity to network and take in educational presentations on a number of complex rehab technology, funding, DME and policy/advocacy tracks. Register HERE.
