Permobil Foundation to Host Golf Tourney

Permobil will host a September golf tournament to raise funds for Permobil Cares, its non-profit foundation.

The seventh annual Permobil Cares Charity Open takes place at the Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tenn., Sept. 14-15.

Former Rutgers University football player Eric LeGrand will be the guest speaker at the Thursday night dinner reception. LeGrand sustained a high-level spinal cord injury in a 2010 football game.

On Friday, Sept. 15, the golf tournament takes place, followed by lunch on the course and awarding of prizes.

Permobil Cares is seeking sponsors for the tournament.

Permobil announced the launch of its foundation at the International Seating Symposium in March. Permobil Cares’ mission is to enhance “the quality of life by empowering strength and independence through community support, employee engagement and grant funding. We work in partnership with non-profit organizations and agencies to provide support and services so individuals can live a life without limitations.”

The Foundation’s activities include technology donations and support of various fundraising and educational activities throughout the complex rehab industry and community.
