Convaid | R82 Announce North American Educational Tour

Convaid |R82 will produce a six-month educational roadshow this year that kicks off this week in Northern California.

Kieron J. Slocombe, former R82 managing director, is coming out of semi-retirement to lead the educational activities, Convaid said in a news announcement.

Slocombe will spend a week in each of Convaid |R82’s service territories in the United States and Canada.

In the news announcement, Convaid|R82 said, “Mr. Slocombe has spent over 30-years as a vocal and visible advocate of Early Intervention, where he worked closely with the British Health Trades Association, UK government and other stakeholders to help bring the age of first treatment of special needs children from 5 years of age down to 3 months. The veteran seating and mobility expert said that outcomes of earlier use of R82 seating and mobility products have been ‘nothing short of life-changing’ for many of the families he has touched over his career.”

Slocombe will discuss a number of R82 seating, standing and walking products during his tour, including the x:panda, Stingray, Gazelle PS, Mustang and Crocodile. He’ll talk about clinical applications and conduct hands-on product demonstrations.
