Numotion Launches Non-Profit Foundation

Numotion has launched the Numotion Foundation, a non-profit organization to support people living with disabilities.

In a July 17 news announcement, Numotion said it would make a contribution to the foundation for every wheelchair it sold.

“Additionally, the Numotion Foundation is dedicated to engaging employees and supporters to donate funds and provide a centralized, coordinated and compliant structure for distributions on behalf of Numotion to relevant charitable organizations and programs,” the announcement said.

Numotion’s new foundation, a 501 (c)(3), will work with other non-profits, including the ALS Association, the Muscular Dystrophy Association and United Spinal “to fund research, advocacy and other necessary support services.”

Mike Swinford, Numotion’s CEO, said of the launch, “We are incredibly proud to establish the Numotion Foundation. It is our hope that through the foundation’s efforts, we can help to further enhance the great work that so many of our long-standing partners are doing to improve the lives of those with disabilities.”

Justin Richardson, Numotion’s Director of Advocacy Strategy, will serve as the foundation’s Executive Director.

Bob Guoy, former CEO of United Seating & Mobility and current member of the Numotion Foundation’s board of directors, said, “Everyone should have the opportunity to pursue their passions and interests, regardless of a mobility disability. The Foundation aims to break down barriers and partner with those who can provide the support and services needed to make everyone independently mobile.”
