Numotion has added an American Paralympian and world champion to its marketing team.
McKenzie Coan, 23, is a four-time Paralympic medalist in swimming and specializes in 50-, 100- and 400-meter freestyle events in the S7-SB6-SM7 classification. Coan competed at both the London 2012 and at the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Games, winning gold in Brazil in the 50-meter freestyle, 100-meter freestyle, and 400-meter freestyle. She also won a silver medal in Rio in the 4x100 freestyle relay.
In a Feb. 5 news announcement, Numotion said Coan had become a spokesperson for the company, after being a Numotion client.
Bret Barczak, Numotion’s Chief Marketing Officer, said of the new partnership, “Numotion is honored to have McKenzie Coan align with Numotion and our efforts to raise the general public’s awareness of our industry. McKenzie’s high profile, especially over the next year, will help bring more attention to CRT [complex rehab technology] and the customers we serve, spreading the word about the work we do at Numotion and in the disability community at large.”
Coan, who has osteogenesis imperfecta, is currently training for this summer’s Paralympic Games in Tokyo. As a Numotion spokesperson, she’ll share her experiences, including preparing for Tokyo 2020, via Numotion’s social media platforms.
Coan attended Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore and graduated with a degree in political science.
“I have a philosophy I try to live my life by: The only disability in life is a bad attitude,” Coan said. “I look forward to sharing my experience and my story with Numotion’s customers, employees and anyone faced with challenges, in hopes of inspiring them to go after their dreams.”
