Cure SMA Announces 2020 Walk-n-Roll Events

Cure SMA has announced a list of more than 50 Walk-n-Roll events, fundraisers to be hosted in partnership with volunteers nationwide.

Cure SMA describes the events as “family-friendly” gatherings that “bring together walkers, rollers, volunteers, and local/national partners to raise money to fund breakthroughs in research and care for patients affected by SMA [spinal muscular atrophy]. During a Cure SMA Walk-n-Roll, families and friends can participate in a walk of 1 to 3.1 miles, as well as other fun activities.”

Walk-n-Rolls happen in more than 30 states and involve more than 10,000 participants nationwide. The first event of the year is the St. Augustine (Fla.) Walk-n-Roll, which takes place Feb. 29.

Walk-n-Rolls raise more than $1.7 million per year to support children and adults living with SMA, as well as to fund research and studies aimed at developing treatments and a cure for SMA.
