National Seating & Mobility (NSM) has acquired AARO Medical, headquartered in Aberdeen, Wash.
Aberdeen is on Washington’s central coast. The acquisition also includes an AARO Medical satellite office in the metro Seattle area.
The company was founded in 1972 by Jerry and Mary Lou Thompson, whose son Bruce Thompson was the owner/operator at the time of the acquisition. AARO Medical sold complex rehab technology as well as durable medical equipment and aids to daily living.
Bruce Thompson has been named the branch manager of the Aberdeen location. Two ATPs and one Rehab Technology Supplier are also transitioning to NSM.
Bill Mixon, NSM’s CEO, said in a news announcement, “This acquisition allows NSM to serve more individuals in Washington who rely on mobility equipment and accessibility solutions for independence. We are proud to welcome the AARO Medical Supplies team to the NSM family and look forward to being a part of this community.”
