Access2CRT Summit Canceled for 2020

NCART and NRRTS, cohosts of the complex rehab technology industry’s annual Access2CRT advocacy summit, have announced that the event won’t take place this year.

The event had originally been scheduled for late March. On March 10, NCART and NRRTS told stakeholders they were postponing the event as COVID-19 continued to spread.

On May 20, the organizations said they had decided not to reschedule.

“Unfortunately, we have made the difficult final decision to not hold a Summit this year in light of the continued consequences from the COVID-19 pandemic,” they said in a joint e-mail. “We believe this is in the best interest of everyone involved.

“As an alternative for 2020, we will be planning a virtual grassroots event to maintain Congressional communication as a part of our annual National CRT Awareness Week (August 10-14). Plans for a Summit in 2021 will begin later this year, and we will keep you all updated.”

Registration fees that had been paid for the 2020 event can be refunded or applied to the 2021 event’s fees.

Early in the coronavirus crisis, NCART and NRRTS, in partnership with the Clinician Task Force and U.S. Rehab/The VGM Group, held weekly Webinar updates on Thursdays. With many critical CRT policy issues now adjusted at least temporarily, the Webinars will now be held on a biweekly basis. The next Webinar is scheduled for Thurs., May 28.
