In a July 15 news announcement, Sunrise said Jackson officially takes over starting July 20.
Pete Coburn, Sunrise’s President of Commercial Operations in North America and Latin America, will be leaving after a transition period, the announcement added.
Jackson has a long history in complex rehab, but is best known for a 26-year tenure at Permobil, where he served as the President of Permobil U.S. and EVP Permobil group. The news announcement noted that Jackson had been “instrumental in building the local organization and driving Permobil’s growth in the region.”
He will now report to Thomas Babacan, President/CEO of the Sunrise Medical Group. Jackson also joins Sunrise’s Global Senior Leadership Team.
“I am delighted to welcome Larry to join Sunrise Medical group,” Babacan said. “Larry brings significant strategic and operational expertise. We are very fortunate to have found the industry veteran like Larry who has strong track records of developing and executing effective growth strategy, as well as respected leadership and success over the past two decades. He is the ideal candidate to lead our North American business going forward, and bring our successful growth to the next level.”
Babacan also thanked Coburn, saying, “I am also extremely grateful for Pete Coburn’s long-time dedication to Sunrise Medical and his ongoing support in the transition and strategic projects, which continues to demonstrate his determination of putting Sunrise’s success as his first priority. I sincerely wish him all the best for his future endeavors.”
