In a June news announcement, NSM said it had hired Dheyaa Qaddo to be its new Controller, and Eugene Fung to be its new HR and Payroll Manager.
Qaddo and Fung join Director of Finance Dave Munroe, who joined NSM Canada in November. Rick Nori is NSM’s Regional Area Director for Canada.
“Expanding our business team with the addition of these respected professionals is crucially important in supporting NSM’s continued growth across Canada,” Nori said in the announcement. “The knowledge and experience Dave, Dheyaa and Eugene bring to our team will strengthen our operations and ability to provide best-in-class service to our Canadian clients.”
As Director of Finance, Munroe “provides financial leadership, overseeing all administrative functions of Canada business operations including procurement, technology, HR, real estate and facilities, fleet management, and funding oversight,” the announcement said. A Vancouver native, Munroe formerly led the finance segment at the British Columbia Automobile Association.
Qaddo, NSM Canada’s new Controller, has worked in the finance industry for 20 years and will now oversee accounts payable activities, cash and treasure management, financial accounting and reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation and compliance. Qaddo, who lives in Langley, B.C., formerly held financial management roles in manufacturing, financial services, oil and gas, retail, and food and beverage industries.
As NSM Canada’s new HR and Payroll Manager, Fung will be responsible “for people strategies meeting Canadian business objectives, managing the HR team in Canada and overseeing strategic workforce planning and talent acquisition, employee relations, training and development, payroll and benefits,” the announcement said. Fung’s experience includes previous positions with Technicolor, a media/entertainment company. Fung now lives in Vancouver.
With more than 30 years in the CRT industry, Nori is now leading NSM’s Canadian expansion and works with NSM’s senior leadership team “to establish and maintain key initiatives, priorities and operating plans at the branch level in support of company goals,” the announcement said.
“In addition to these new hires,” Nori added, “we are extremely proud to have a strong team of Rehab Equipment Specialists, many of whom are voluntarily completing their NRRTS RTS certification, which further enhances the customer experience. I am a strong believer in developing future leaders while creating a positive culture that will, ultimately, better serve our clients.”
