NSM Brings Its Home Accessibility Services to California

National Seating & Mobility (NSM) is making its home accessibility services available to residents in the Golden State.

In a July 28 news announcement, NSM said this expansion includes the acquisition of a home accessibility business, as well as the hire of a long-time home accessibility expert.
Scott Lanswick, owner and founder of San Diego Age in Place Services has joined NSM to oversee home access services in Southern California. Lanswick has more than 25 years of mobility and home accessibility equipment experience.
NSM also announced the acquisition of Eagle Accessibility Solutions & Equipment (EASE), a home accessibility business in Sacramento that specialized in installing and servicing ceiling lifts, ramps, and stairlifts. Founder Steve Weaver will join NSM, along with EASE employees.
EASE is known in the home accessibility market for its innovative bathroom accessibility solutions and has been lauded by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry and the National Association of Home Builders.
NSM’s CEO, Bill Mixon, said of the California news, “Expanding the availability of home accessibility services is a reflection of our commitment to provide the full spectrum of mobility solutions to individuals who rely on them for independence. These investments will better position us to reach more Californians in need of these services. … We are proud to welcome these experienced professionals to NSM and look forward to working together to provide comprehensive mobility and accessibility solutions throughout California.”
NSM’s home accessibility division also works in partnership with The Home Depot, whose Independent Living program supports consumers looking to create safer homes.
