VMI Signs Partnership with FR Conversions

Vantage Mobility International (VMI) has signed a distribution agreement with FR Conversions, a second-stage manufacturer of retail and commercial products.

The new partnership gives VMI “exclusive representation” of FR Conversions’ retail accessible vehicles, including crew & cargo, multi-passenger, and executive shuttle vehicles. VMI said the new agreement “will offer an expanded portfolio of accessible vehicle solutions to customers through more than 300 VMI authorized dealerships in the United States and Canada. FR Conversions products are thoughtfully designed, crash tested, and built in an advanced, quality-controlled manufacturing facility.”

FR Conversions’ wide-ranging lineup includes wheelchair-accessible Chrysler/Dodge and Toyota minivans for personal use; accessible crew & cargo vans that can be used as mobile operations centers; Type II ambulances; accessible taxi vans; accessible multiple-passenger vans; and accessible executive shuttles. FR Conversions is based in Westminster, Md.

Mark Shaughnessy, CEO of VMI, said in the announcement, “Our solutions aren’t just limited to product features. As accomplished with the recent introduction of the industry’s first all-wheel-drive Toyota Hybrid, we are bringing more choices to consumers with disabilities. We are excited to offer consumers a broader selection of products through VMI’s distribution channels, thanks to the products expertly designed and engineered by FR Conversions.”

Eliyahu Rosenbloom, President/CEO of FR Conversions, added, “FR Conversions has excelled as a second-stage manufacturer with proven design and engineering muscle behind every product we build. Our partnership with VMI allows us to continue delivering what we’re known for while expanding our opportunities to meet the needs of the physically challenged.”
