Future Seating Symposia Schedules Updated

Last week’s 2022 International Seating Symposium, presented virtually by the University of Pittsburgh’s RSTCE due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was also an opportunity to update seating professionals about future seating symposia.

The Oceania Seating Symposium from New Zealand, April 5-7, will now take place virtually. The theme of the conference is “Whanaungatanga,” a Maori concept that translates to “connecting people and communities through shared experiences and working together.”

The European Seating Symposium, with the theme “Incorporating Assistive Technology,” will take place in person in Dublin, Ireland, June 15-17. Pre-symposium workshops will take place June 14.

The 2022 Colombian Seating Symposium is currently scheduled for September, and the 2022 Latin American Seating Symposium is scheduled for October.

The 2023 International Seating Symposium is scheduled for April 13-15 in Pittsburgh, with pre-conference classes taking place April 12. The event will be presented in person as well as virtually.
