Cure SMA has expanded its program to support people and families living with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) in Puerto Rico.
In a March 15 announcement, Cure SMA said a variety of materials and support items — ranging from newly diagnosed care packages to wagons, teen and adult support packages, medical alert bracelets, and LifeVac Home Kits — will now be available at no cost to the SMA community in Puerto Rico.
These items and other informational and independence assistance packages can be ordered online.
Cure SMA’s 2022 annual conference will take place June 16-19 in Anaheim, Calif. The 2022 SMA Research & Clinical Care Meeting for researchers focusing on SMA will take place June 15-17, also in Anaheim. As usual, the two conferences will run parallel to each other, with networking opportunities for the two groups to come together.
