If one of your seating and mobility specialties is pediatrics, and you have 90 minutes to spare on Thurs., May 19, you can now sign up for the free Pediatric Innovation Startup Demo Day.
The virtual event — hosted by Valley Children’s Healthcare, Innovation Lab, and RedCrow — will highlight a number of healthcare innovations aimed at children and their families.
Darla Rigg, Manager of George’s Idea Lab at Valley Children’s Healthcare in Madera, Calif., said in a May 6 news announcement, “We are excited to showcase some extraordinary companies that are advancing products to solve big problems for the smallest patients and their families. We will also display two ways that Valley Children's is leveraging innovation to solve internal challenges, as well as a pediatric medical device being developed by Innovation Lab.”
Products scheduled for the Demo Day include Little Journey, a digital platform to support children and parents undergoing healthcare procedures; Move-D, a “simple but elegant” mechanical elbow brace to stabilize tremors in the dominant upper extremity for children with ataxic cerebral palsy; and SmileyScope, a VR system designed to manage pain and anxiety during common medical procedures.
The Demo Day takes place May 19 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Pacific time (1 to 2:30 p.m. Eastern). Registration is free, but space is limited.
